Why Malaria Symptoms May Still Persist After Completing a Malaria Therapy : Malaria is one of the common epidemics in developing countries including Ghana. It’s one of the most reported cases in our health setting, and day in day out , people troop in pharmacies and Drug stores to buy antimalarial medications and most people continue to complain of symptoms still present after completing the drug therapy.
Most antimalarial medications are taken by mouth with food. They are usually taken twice a day for 3 days (6 doses or 24 doses)

On the first day of treatment, take the first dose with food and the second dose exactly 8 hours after the first dose and then,12 hours intervals each dose until you complete the therapy.
For instance, if the first dose was taken at 12:00 noon , the second dose should be taken at 8:00 pm and the third dose should be at 8:00am the next morning and the fourth dose at 8:00pm with 12 hours intervals till you complete the therapy.
