Education Minister must be forced to Resign -.president of Believers Multimedia.
Following the resignation of Hon. Alan Kyeremanteng, Honourable Akoto and the rest, It is very surprising for most Ghanaians to see Education Minister neglecting resignation. The Education Minister who was performing very well previously tend to perform woefully to society at recent times. According to many, the economic banter facing Ghana today is due to recklessness and negligence performance of minister of education. Education Minister must be forced to Resign -.president of Believers Multimedia.
Starting from his neglection of the public Basic Schools, pinpointed during school of shame programme under taken by joy news. The minister was recalcitrant enough to debunk the negativity of the problems highlighted. School grants or capitation grant needed to run the basic schools stoped coming for the last two years. Budgetary allocation for our basic schools was only 15% and 30% and 60% for secondary and tertiary education respectively.
Another important drainage of our economy is the wrongful implementation free SHS. More money is pumped into this programme with less productivity.
Ghana education continues to be theoritically oriented instead of emphasizing on practicals and creativity. Unemployment rate kept on skyrocketing. Why cant the minister at least inculcate into his mandate to post graduates from the universities with education background into the various Schools. If 30% of them are posted every year, it will help lessen the unemployment rate.
The Education Minister is only interested in unworkable and unnecessary transformation in the sector such as cancelation of BECE and changing of syllabi every now and then. Those monies spent in implementing the new curriculum can recruit UpTo 80% of our graduate teachers. Why ?
