Bolgatanga Technical University launched its 10years Strategic plan to improve TVET in the Country. The pleasure to Strengthen Technical Vocational Education and Training is the ultimate goal of many. In view of changing the phase of Education in the country, Bolgatanga Technical University deem it neccessary to launched its 10years plan to ensure that the quality of TVET is improved and sustained.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Samuel Erasmus Alnaa displaced the collaborative plan which was crafted during the era of Professoe Stephen Yakubu, Formal Vice Chancellor.
The plan is meant to commence in this 2023 and end in 2033.
The strategic plan is meant to focus on the underlisted dimensions:
1. Improvement of students enrolment. There should be unique distribution of student enrolment from the various regions. The impression that seems to sound the school is for Northerners should be debunked. The school is for All Ghanaians
2. Infrastructure deficit should be a thing of the past. Quality structures to be erected in conformity with the standards and education needs of the school.
3. Staff to be well equiped to handle the various subject areas or programs run by the University. This will help improve the strength of teaching and learning both practically and theoriticaly.
The programme was Chaired by the formal Vice Chancellor of University for Developmental Studies.
Another point of emphasis was Agriculture upliftment. It was believe that this could raise not only the productivity of the land but also help safeguard it.
