Galamsey Fight is a hard nut to crack and demands consistent intervention of  President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo as a matter of urgency.Viral Videos of contradictory Nature of our leaders have reared their ugly heads.

It seemingly depicts that, Galamsey Fight is  extraordinarily exaggerated rather than personified. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s Solidly intervention is Paramount to the halting of illegal mining.

Galamsey Fight is now a cartilage of bones staked in-between the molars of leaders dentition in their bucal cavity.

Mr Kwaku Duah, the Ashanti regional Organiser for Small Scale Miners Association has called on the President Nana Akufo-Addo to offer the necessary support, Legal backing and direction to Ghana National Associaton of Small Scale Miners ( GNASSM ) to fight illegal small scale mining popularly known as ‘galamsey’ in the country.

According to him, gamamsey issue is mishandled and the consequences so huge and detrimental to our lawlessness.

Politics can not gain grounds in this fight. The dignity of our cocoa lands are destroyed, our virgin rivers are highly polluted, galamsey sites are serving as dead traps for the occupants of those localities and the inhalation of those poisonous gases is scarious, he added.

He said, their Association has about One Hundred and Fifty (150) Taskforce in mining regions and can recruit more to fight against galamsey if, necessary support is given.

Speaking at a press conference, Mr Kwaku Duah assured that, the Association would prevent the  destruction of the environment, particularly water bodies, vegetation cover and other natural resources for sustainable development.

He urged the public to desist from politicizing the fight against galamsey since that gave the offenders hope to destroy land and water bodies.

We have reached a stage in gamamsey fight were moving forward is perilous, moving backwards is cowardice, but we have to persevere, our abilities lie in our determination and the will to fight! Our ammunitions lie in the use of the brain, he who has much wins the day.
