Teachers Forced to use Air-Writing to Teach Pupils Due to Absence of chalkboard. A School at Kantu district in Wa West is going through terrible situation as teachers have been forced to write in the air whiles classes are in section. Latest news have it that, the school was destroyed by a heavy storm as a results of the usage of inferior roofing sheets for its construction.
According to the head teacher, the school has been renovated twice by PTA. Mud structures were erected as a school building to offer education to children in the area. The school was built by Parents and renovated twice so far. Currently the parents are handicapped to renovate the school for the third time. This has brought a big shame to the school.
After joy news contacted the district office, they were sorrowful informed that, all their hands have been tightened at their back hence can not do something to support the school. The Director specified that, the monies that use to come from headquarters for such works have been halted.
As a matter of fact if serious resolution mechanism is not made amicably issues will mess up. The Teachers are mentally depressed in teaching in that environment. As we enter the raining season classes will be automatically halted since no shelter to provide both security and physiological needs for the students.
They are therefore calling government for immediate intervention. The PTA is fed up and wish the government continues the battle
