Students should not make Super Grades and Have nothing to show for it- Lecturer of Maritime University
The rate at which students with excellent grades find it difficult to fit perfectly into the job market is becoming incredible. This is a worrisome concern for lecturers and the industry.
The lecturer of Maritime University emphatically stated that, excelling excellently in academia is an accepted and most honoured article appreciated by all. It only becomes problematic if the bearer of such grades finds it hallucinating and almost impossible to defend such grades.
Dr. Baboucarr Njie, The Registrar of Regional Maritime University made these revelations during a one- day partnership communique in the University.
He added that tertiary students must learn to eschew fear during instructional periods to get the best out of their lecturers. Students should clear their views when not satisfied with the lecturers delivery. This does not show disrespect but ensures that the value for money is achieved since students pay fees.
Dr. Gabriel Senanu Akapko, the Dean of Graduates School, tactically explained that, there is difficulty in the levels of employment in the country hence it will demand that students have clear passion over their vision of what one wants based on what is readily available in the world market.
