2022/2023 INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATIONS INTO HEALTH TRAINING INSTITUTIONS
MINISTRY OF HEALTH
The Ministry of Health wishes to inform the general public that the online admissions portal for the 2022/2023
academic year will officially open from Monday 16th May, 2022 to Friday 29th July,
2022. Applications are invited from qualified candidates for entry into any of the Public Health Training
Institutions in Ghana.
Applicants must:
1. Purchase application codes from any Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) or Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB)
branch at a cost of Two Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH¢200.00).
NOTE
i. All purchased vouchers are valid up to 5th August, 2022 if not used.
ii. No postage envelopes are required as all correspondence will be via SMS or E-mail.
2. Upon payment, applicants will receive a voucher giving them a unique PIN and Serial Number.
3. Have a dedicated phone number and a personal valid e-mail address for all correspondence. [Please NOTE:
Do not use email address of relations]
4. You will need your residential and Ghana Post Digital Address
5. Use the PIN code and Serial Number to access the application form online at
https://healthtraining.gov.gh
6. Note that the online registration form is accessible only by the PIN and self-created password.
7. Follow the instructions carefully and fill the relevant stages of the admission process once the online
application is opened.
8. Use the PIN and Serial Number to track the status of the admission process.
9. Note that only Applicants who meet admission requirements will be invited to attend a competitive interview
at the school of choice.

The recent information reaching us is that, the final years of the various nursing training colleges have not graduated yet. They are currently on holidays and will resume on August 2022. Key holders are putting effective measures in place to enable them curtaile the incoming year ones incase the finalists complete. There is no adequate evidence that the forms are online for sale hence those desperately manuvering to get nursing training college forms at all costs should bear in mind that they are doing so in their own risk. You must waite patiently as the forms will be available in no time.
Do you wonder whether your D7 can give you admission into nursing training college?
Well, there is a good news for you. Nursing training Colleges offer diploma and certificate programs. For the diploma programs, one must get at least ‘C6’ in mathematics and English or better. For students classified under sciences, one must get ‘C6’ or better in Social studies plus mathematics and english. The non- Science students are required to get at least ‘C6’ in inter-science or better including mathematics and english. This is to say that without the passes indicated about, one is not qualified to read any of the diploma programs offered in any of the accredited nursing training institutions in Ghana. However, those with ‘D7’ in any of the core subjects or even in all the core subjects are not let out! Another opportunity is that, those people can still go to the nursing training college without writing NOVDEC. One is qualified to study any certificate program in the nursing training college with a maximum of two years. Afterwards, one can further his or her education to post basic diploma level and even higher.
