A man who is yet to be identified stabbed an imam with a knife during Eid prayers but fortunately the knife could not penetrate. Even though the man has been arrested he is yet to be identified.
As 28th and 29th June 2023 marked the celebration of Eid UL Adha across the whole world, some thing terrible was recorded in Senegal. No one could understand the reason for the murdering attempt but it could be traced back to leadership positions and struggle for power.
Of late a certain category of people emanated with chest out yawning for imam-ship and Chife-imamship in the country.

The remorse has it that, due to different sets we have in Islam, every set wished that they take charged of leadership positions with the intention that they are the real or authentic muslims.
Even though this misunderstanding was not publicized, it existed in them. During the Eid day as usual every single preparation was made by all. As prayers were ongoing at the national Eid prayers congregational grounds, an unknown person pop up from an unknown source. He stood there for a while depicting he was going to join the prayers.
The Imam finished the recitation of the qu’ran and went on rukku thus, bowing position, The man forcefully rushed on the Imam and pulled a knife stabbing the imam but it was not entering.
He continued till the knife got bent. The Muslim brothers rushed and arrested him. They called the police and handed over the victim to them. They continued with the prayers successful.
Some people guessed that the man might have been hired to do what he did. The man was sent to court and has been charged as murderer.
