It has been figured out that, the rate at which doctors, nurses, midwives and other health care professionals are indulging in drugs or substance abuse is too alarming that it needs immediate intervention.

Monica is one of the victims of drug abuse. Monica was a shining star at the nursing profession. After monica loss her mother the trauma and agony she was exposed her.  She started abusing drugs which led to her developing complications which resulted in surgery.

Fortunately for her she was able to seek help from rehabilitation centre and within four months she came back to normal.

Doctors Nurses, Midwives and other health professional are smuggling huge hard drugs from hospitals and chip compounds for their personal use leaving the health centres without drugs. This report was made from TV3. This problem is overwhelming and demands immediate intervention.

If health workers who are to educate the masses against drug abuse are abusing the drugs themselves, it means the trauma would be magnified significantly. A senior nurse working in rehabilitation unit stated that, majority of the health workers are suffering from this problem. She said drug abuse is a diseases on itself hence health workers in those situations should be identified and treated.

She added that, some are forced to commit suicide out of  the hallucination of the drug. Others too develop poor health conditions which leads to death. The message must be spread to all health workers e.g. our doctors, nurses and midwives in this condition.

Lets try to monitor our siblings who are health workers and study their actions to find out if they are abusing drugs so that we can immediately refer them to rehabilitation centres before its too late.

They deal with drugs and are taught of how the drug works hence they are the first to abuse them when going through challenges. Check your brother or sister at home. Now that employment is a problem in the country they may over think, trying to use drugs to calm down. Share this message to all platforms! you may safe a soul.
