How much salary does a nurse get in Ghana? This is a more critical and normally most nurses do not want to talk about. It is difficult for a nurse to mention his or her salary to you willingly.
From todays content, you will know the salary received by all nurses in Ghana; whether, certificate or enroll nurses, diploma nurses or degree nurses. These amount is the real salary range of nurses as at last year 2022. One should know that january this year there was an increase in all government workers salary by thirty percent.
These amounts were what nurses used to receive before the increment this year. I will update you on salaries of nurses after the introduction of 30% base pay increment by organized labour unions in Ghana in my next content.
There are alot of factors that affect the salaries of government workers. These include;your qualification, your rank and the number of years you have served.
First of all lets start from certificate nurses. Every government worker salary is in two folds. Thus, gross salary and the net salary. The gross salary is the actual salary before deductions are made. They deduct taxes, Pension premium, union dues, SSNT and alot more from your gross. What is left after all those deductions were made is your net salary or your take home pay. For example your gross salary may be Ghc5000 and after deduction your net is Ghc3,500. It is this Ghc3500 that will be paid to your bank account.
We are only going to talk about the net salary, because that is the money for you. For the gross you will see it but “you no go chop” Certificate or enroll nurses take a net salary of Ghc1,300 to Ghc1,400 as at last year.
Diploma nurses were taking a salary from Ghc1,900 to Ghc2000
and degree nurses were taking an amount of Ghc2,600 to Ghc3,000
