PRESEC won the 2022 CyberSecurity Challenge. This programe is meant to creat Awareness about the use of the Internet.

 

PRESEC emerged as the overall winner of the edition of the Cyber security Challenge hosted at Accra.

The school was able to emerge as the overall winner of the competition after beating five popular schools which also contested for the competition.

 

The National CyberSecurity Challenge was organized by Ministry of Communications and Digitalization together with the Cyber Security Authority.

 

The programe is organized every year to creat awareness about cybersecurity best practices. At students level, it is meant to creat awareness about the best practices for students and encourage them to stay safe online and sensitize them on the career opportunities in cybersecurity.

 

PRESEC won the 2022 CyberSecurity

This is to help them ultimately, to develop a cybersecurity culture among young children.

 

Cyber is celebrated in October every year to creat awareness for all citizenry to ensure consciousness cyber security culture among the people.

 

This is to help them stay safe against fraudulent tragedies used to victimize people. This will ring alertness when using the internet especially.

 

The winners of the Challenge had trophy, certificates of participation, laptop, one week internship at Cyber Security Authority with all expenses taken care of and a cash prize of GHC3,000.

Mfantsiman Girls SHS first Runner had GHC2000 cash prize, laptop, certificates and one week internship with CSA

Adisasel College participant received a cash prize of GHC1,500, laptop and certificates.

The remaining three Schools :St. Monica’s Girls SHS, Oda SHS and Northern School of Business were presented with an amount of GhC500 each and certificates of participation.

 

The Deputy Minister of Communication said, the internet is meant for educational purposes globally. But as it is now, its risk factors are numerous for children especially, and adults as well which calls for critical awareness.

She advised them to be careful especially when sending sensitive information online. It can be very risky at times.
