WASSCE Starts Now:
The commencement of the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) initialization was announced by The Ghanaian body of The West African Examinations Council (WAEC). According to them just like last year, Ghana is once again going to segregate itself in the writing of the WASSCE. This means that we are going to write the examination independently without the involvement of any West African Country.
The reasons for this continuous recurring behaviour is best known to only WAEC and GES. Almost all West African Countries usually write one common paper from since time memorial to date. However, we wrote our exam alone last year due to Covid but as for this years own, one can not tell why but may be because of Russian-Ukraine…..
WAECÂ have opened their portal for registration of candidates towards the 2023/2024 segment of the WASSCE. Meanwhile the body has given all schools in the country the mandate to accept candidates who sat for the external exam previously and have failed to rewrite instead of joining private schools. Such candidates are strictly going to be day students. They are obliged to joining only teaching and learning activities. This depicts that they are temporary members of the school.
WAEC has warned teachers to collapse all social media platforms set aside purposely for transporting questions and answers between students and teachers. The Exact dates for the initializatation of the exams is 31st July 2023 and be finalized on 26th September 2023. The period is very short hence demands constant and thorough revision by students and teachers to be able to excel excellently.

This years Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and matters arising.
The rightful date for the commencement of this years BECE has also pop up. The WAEC, Education minister, Yaw Osei Adutwum has emphatically stated that, BECE is not going too be canceled as speculated. It not true that this year will end the BECE. The only different is may be the formate will differ. The responsible stake holders and WAEC have prepared the foundation necessary for this years Segment of the BECE.
The BECE is starting from 7th August 2023 and end on 11th August 2023. We have less than five months from now to write the BECE .
Different grading system is going to be used to interprete this years results of the BECE. This year we might not have fail at all.The breakdown will be that; from zero to somewhere 35 about will be interpreted as lowest. More detailed is given in a video below.
