Ghana is bless to constantly get the help and attention from The British government most especially towards educational development. The British High Commissioner to Ghana Mrs. Harriet Thompson, depicted her preparedness to establish strong bond of partnership to help digitalize and improve on the quality of education across the entire country.

 

 

 

The government of the United Kingdom has been granting scholarship opportunities to Ghanaian students to continue their education. Besides, series of academic programs are initiated and funded by their government to improve literacy as well as health in the country.

 

 

 

One can not underestimate the importance of services the country render to Ghana. British High Commissioner to Ghana Mrs. Harriet Thompson in order to mark “The International Day of Education” took to herself to play a paramount role in this important ceremony.

 

 

She said, the government of the United Kingdom is maneuvering to find all possible means to implement ‘Transformative Educational Reforms’ in Ghana.

 

 

She added that, they have also established that authority in Ghana through the government of Ghana, Other Civil organizations and stakeholders.

 

 

 

She said their focus is on learning hence they are prepared to reach and enrol as much as 200, 000 children who are out of school back to school. This she said was their key vision.

Their government want every child to be in school despite the gender, the physical status or cultural background. She said, the country needs the children who are out of school to come back and learn to transform the world.

 

 

 

The UNESCO (United Nation Education Scientific and Cultural Organization) Estimated that 244 million people are out of school. This number consist of both the young and the old.
