National Teaching Council Cautioned Teachers: your License Could Be Revoked over Violation of Educational Act of Ghana, making your services tentemant to nothing.
To improve and sustain the quality and standards of the teaching profession, National Teaching Council cautioned teachers to be very vigilant and do the needful.
According to them, despite the fact that Educational Act of Ghana has made it mandatory for issuing license to professional teachers who teach in both public and private schools in the country, most teachers are taking the system for granted.
In connection with the above, the Western together with Western North Regional Secretary for Ghana National Association of Teachers, Mr Boadu Abedi William, stated that, Ghana Education Service as a body has its own constitution or set of rules and regulations governing the conduct of its employees.
Professionals in the sector must therefore conduct themselves in conformity with the code of conduct of GES or in a manner spelt out by the constitution or ethics of Ghana Education Service.

He stressed explicitly that, the license given to teachers does not over empower them to act contrary to the code of conduct. Any teacher who goes contrary to this clearly scripted professional code of conduct, his or her license can be revoked outrightly.
He therefore entreated teachers to submit themselves to the rules and regulations of the noble teaching profession so as to make a positive impacts in the society.
Speaking in an interview with Wassa East based radio station Wassaman FM, Mr Boadu Abedi William, encouraged teachers to attend the various NTC workshops in order to build more points accumulation to be able to renew their licenses because, very soon teachers will also use the professional touch that is; the license for salary negotiation with the government and bargain for better condition of service for teachers.
