The Volta Region has emerged as the over all winer of the National Reading Competition held in Accra on the 11th of September 2022.
The National Reading Competition, which was held in Accra, had brought shock to most Ghanaians.
All the sixteen regions across the country had their outstanding representatives presented for this tough competition. Every one was totally dumfounded about the positioning that occured.
The Ministry of Education in collaboration with USAIDS organized National Reading Competition across all the sixteen horizons of the country.
According to the grand total score sheet, Volta Region Emerged the over all winer of the Current Reading Competition that took place.
The two colleagues, were, Sonia Dzidula of Ho West and Victoria Yaotse from Ho Municipal.
The team puts up a unique performance to make Volta Region proud by becoming the alternate winer at this Benevolence National Reading Festival.
Samelia Mekporwiggbe is a basic three pupil of Battor D/A Primary School in North Tongu,
Victoria Yaotse is a basic two Pupil of Sakode Gbogame M/A primary school in Ho Municipal and Sonia Dzidula, a basic one pupil from Ho West.
According to the organizers, the results spelt out that, Samelia, had sixth position, Sonia fifth position and consequently, Victoria with her amazing performance was actually victorious over the competition and was crown the over all winner of the competition with a position of first in her category making the Volta Region to emerge first in the competition.
After Critically bringing the competition to a total scrutiny, the volta region was first, follow by Greater Accra Region, then Ashanti, Savanna, Western, Bono and North East becoming the last.
This is the order in which the various regions were positioned in the competition.
