 Foods Stomach Ulcer Patients Must Avoid

Foods stomach ulcer patients must avoid  : Stomach ulcers are sores that develop in the lining of the stomach. Many people are suffering from this condition. But do not know that some of the foods they eat can worsen the condition. Eating certain foods can make your symptoms worse and unbearable. Knowing the various foods that worsen stomach ulcer will help you to avoid them and improve the condition.

Some signs and symptoms of stomach ulcers are

1. Epigastric pain

2. Belching or bloating

3. Abdominal pains

4. Nausea and vomiting

5. Heart burns

6. Abdominal tenderness

7. Fatigue

8. Abdominal pain which worsens after meal

Some foods can worsen the symptoms of stomach ulcers which you need to avoid. Consuming these foods, especially, in larg quantities worsens your symptoms. Some of such foods are

1. Carbonated drinks. Reduce your intake of carbonated drinks.

2. Foods that contain gas such as beans and eggs. Stay away from foods that contain a lot of gas, especially if it triggers your ulcer.

3. foods . Spicy foods irritate the lining of the stomach. Stay away from spicy foods.

4. Smoking.

Don’t smoke/Stop smoking

5. Alcohol consumption

Moderate/cut your alcohol intake.

6. Eating acidic foods. Taking foods that contain a lot of acid such as oranges or fresh tomatoes, especially on an empty stomach, can worsen it.

7. Milk: Reduce your milk intake, take yoghurts instead as it contains probiotics that are good for your stomach.

8. Chocolate: Chocolate affects certain people with ulcers. If it makes you have stomach discomfort, cut it till your ulcer heals properly.

9. Some Non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.  Use Aspirin, Ibuprofen, and Diclofenac only when your healthcare provider prescribes such for you as they can worsen stomach ulcers. And make sure you eat first./ Foods stomach ulcer patients must avoid

10. Starving also worsen stomach ulcer. Don’t starve yourself.
